FAQ

Always measure the entire wall in centimetres:
Width (from one edge of the wall to the other)
Height (from floor to ceiling)

IMPORTANT – add extra allowance
To make the wallpaper easier to align and adjust during application, always add an allowance to your measurements:
➡️ +10 cm to the width
➡️ +10 cm to the height

Example: if the wall is 320 cm wide and 250 cm high → order 330 x 260 cm.

A detailed guide on measuring different types of walls is available here: link.

Why is it recommended to add an extra 5–10 cm to the measured wall?

The extra 5–10 cm are added because, when applying wallpaper or other wall coverings, you need to leave a margin at the top and bottom. Walls are often not perfectly even, and ceilings or floors may be slightly uneven, so the surplus is trimmed off precisely afterwards to give neat edges with no gaps.

Yes! You can easily order a sample of any wallpaper you like (or even several) and check the colour and texture in person before buying. One sample costs €5.90, and you will receive a 50x50 cm piece of wallpaper.

Three main factors will help you choose: the room, the condition of the walls, and the design. First, think about where the wallpaper will go - calmer tones usually work well in a living room or bedroom, while in a hallway or kitchen it is worth choosing a more practical pattern that shows dirt less. Next, assess the wall surface: if your walls are not perfectly smooth, it is better to choose a lightly textured wallpaper, as it visually conceals minor imperfections. Finally, choose according to style: light coloured wallpaper makes a space feel larger, while a bold pattern becomes a feature of the interior. If you are unsure about a colour or pattern, we recommend ordering a sample and assessing it in the lighting of your own home.

Yes, we recommend removing old wallpaper. If new wallpaper is applied over the old, it may not adhere as well, bubbles and visible seams can appear, and the new wallpaper may start to peel.

Picwall non-woven wallpaper is easy to care for – it can be wiped with a damp cloth. For everyday care, we recommend wiping the surface gently and avoiding strong detergents or abrasive products, so that the wallpaper keeps its flawless appearance for longer.
